Reed and his fellow classmates from NIC's Childrens Center visited the basketball team for a "scrimmage" that evolved into the students chasing the basketball players around the gym. Earlier in the semester the children visited the basketball team and decided to come up with their own basketball team. They developed team jerseys with their own numbers, voted on colors and named themselves the Fire-Huggers.
