A motorcycle driven by Jane McDonald of Post Falls was traveling southbound on Spokane and making a lefthand turn onto Third. Gobin was traveling westbound on Third and the vehicle he was driving collided with the motorcycle. McDonald was transported to Kootenai Medical Center for what appeared to be minor head injuries, according to Post Falls Police. Gobin was cited for failing to yield.

  • Karen Williams, a Kootenai County Sheriff animal control officer, comforts Jean Curran who cries over the dog she found Tuesday in the  Riverside Harbor subdivision in Post Falls. Curran took the dog to Hayden Pet Medical Center where it had to be euthanized due to its condition which is thought to be caused by abuse and neglect. The dog had a large tumor on its abdomen that dragged the ground when it walked, overgrown nails, was severely malnourished and major dental problems.
