JEROME A. POLLOS/Press..Carol Wilson sets Tuesday's collection of eggs from her hens next to the much larger eggs one of her hens produced recently in the coop behind her Post Falls home. One of the eggs measures more than 8-inches in circumference and weighs 4-ounces -- double the size of a normal, large chicken egg. "These big ones don't get sold," Wilson said of the anomalies. "Those are for my husband's breakfast. They make great omelettes."
