The family was able to evacuate before the fire completely engulfed the garage and entry way of the home. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

  • April 1, 2007 -- Nancy crafted a nurses hat out of some paper to "look more professional" when she took care of Dick's medical needs in their 38-foot-long fifth-wheel trailer in Post Falls. "I know she loves me, because who else would do this day in and day out," Dick said. "She's a strong woman."

  • Sarah's hair styling appointment Saturday afternoon was a first for her. The clouds of hairspray and sizzling of the curling iron had her on edge during the one-hour sitting. "I'm a sexy mama," Sarah said when the styling was complete.

  • Mike gives Sarah a hug after seeing her for the first time in her prom attire. Mike spent about 30 minutes getting his hair and tuxedo ready. Sarah spent nearly two hours having her hair and make-up done.

  • For Mike and Sarah, Saturday's prom was unlike anything they had attended together before. It was their time to shine in a formal setting. They were dressed to impress and ready to take on the dance floor for hours at a time.
